In today’s shifting contexts, as people find new ways to share spiritual experiences, the study of spirituality and spiritual formation have become crucial tools to address these emerging needs. An ecumenical space, this conference initiates dialogue between scholars and practitioners of Christian spirituality and spiritual formation. It examines the historic, present, and future trends of spiritual formation through the critical relationship between spirituality, spiritual formation, and practical theology.
Who would benefit from attending? The intended audience are scholars, formators and practical theologians of these distinct but interrelated disciplines. The plenary speakers from diverse Christian backgrounds will set the context for what promises to be robust panel discussions. By bringing together diverse thinkers about the theory and practice of formation it will create opportunities for ongoing con- versations, research, and partnerships.
